The Department of Defense's Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) program ensures compliance within the DoD by overseeing the management, control, approval processing, and tracking of information collection requests.

Our primary objectives are to prevent the wasteful expenditure of DoD resources on redundant or obsolete information collections and to minimize the burden the DoD places on the public.

This program is managed by the Office of Information Management (OIM) – formerly the Information Collections Branch (ICB) – within the Directives Division of the Executive Services Directorate, Washington Headquarters Services.
